When the organic world meets the halal market


The trend emerged in the 2000s in the USA. Actually, the organic halal market is growing in England and other countries of Europe. This was a first in the French market in 2012, when the brand Tendre France, owned by the Bionoor group, marketed a certified meat that is both halal and organic. It is possible to find this AB (Agriculture Biologique) meat in two formats:
  • Frozen hamburgers, sold to individual consumers in various point of sales in the Paris region: Halal Market, Jardins du Val, in Ibrahim supermarkets and distributed by the Bibars Distribution company.
  • Beef cuts sold in various partner restaurants such as Alhambra, (halal restaurant in Stains near Paris).
