Pescanova wants to come back to the front stage

After two years of hard work, the shrimps’ Spanish group reached a balanced result in 2017. It now cultivates new ambitions for its future. In France, its turnover reached €140bn euros (representing 15% of the total turnover of the group). 60% of it comes from fresh products and 40% from its frozen range. Pescanova wants to double its turnover as its volumes by 2020 and reach 10% of market shares for the frozen section (compared to 3% today).

They will build on their expertise and focus on shrimps and hakes, developing novelties for seafood aperitif and snacking. On this basis its developing two tapas novelties “Croustillants” and “Lollipops” with a retail price of €4.45 the pack. In addition, the manufacturer offers a Ceviche of shrimps from Guatemala, with its marinade seasoning for €4.99 retail price. It will also launch red shrimps from Argentina, presented in a 400g sachet for a retail price of €10.95 (also available in a 500g format for a retail price of €12.28) Finally, for family meals, the brand presents a gluten-free recipe of squid fritters alla romana (€2.70 for a 500g sachet).
