Successful launch for Biocoop ADN

End of May, a few steps from the Nation metro station in Paris, Thibaud Ronfard inaugurated the very first anti-waste outlet of the Biocoop network. Or a store whose offer was almost exclusively made up of products in bulk or presented in reusable containers.

Four months after its launch, Biocoop ADN, for Anti-Déchets Nation, is a great success. "The welcome is very positive and the attendance is good, beyond what we expected, proof that the place is attractive and that we are responding to an aspiration of people who no longer want to consume organic products in plastic or overwrapped," explains the new member who created the concept. In terms of sales, we are slightly above our forecast. "Knowing that at cruising speed, this 90 m² store is destined to generate one million euros in annual sales.

On the shelf, the assortment has been expanded, now exceeding 1000 references. Thibaud Ronfard strives to respond as much as possible to customer requests. Its bulk offer has been enriched with vermicelli, flour and even white blackberries. In the fresh sector, its range of delicatessen and cheeses has also expanded. On the liquid side, "we plan to test bulk beer with a local brewery," says the store manager.

An experiment that will not show in this Biocoop shop which already offers oils, soy sauce, honey and even a wide range of bulk cosmetics!
